Go
to the Nauvoo Temple
A famous designer in our family (ADB) had a large part to play in designing the celestial room… you need to check it out. It's a beautiful temple that gives you the feel of walking back in time.
There are places to stay at Nauvoo - You can camp, rent a house or stay in a hotel.
Nearby is St. Louis, Chicago, and Springfield - home to most of the Browne kids in the 60’s along with a famous president named Lincoln (no, we weren’t there when he was, just a few years later). Here is our house on Leland Ave. Ask Gen 2 parents to recall what it looked like the first time we saw it and ran through it in the middle of the night. It was the first time Grandma Browne saw, because Grandpa bought it without her there, knowing that she would love fixing it up. It hadn’t been painted or worked on for decades… didn’t quite look like this when we moved in. While we lived there, Grandma painted it a very soft gray/green. Wouldn't it be fun to go back to the old homestead?
